Launch of the ‘ESI Funds for health’ website
On 13 July 2017, the ESI Funds for health website was launched. The website, which has been developed as part of an EU-funded project, brings together knowledge and evidence on how the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) are used to support health investments under the 2014-2020 programming period. With this information, capacity building events will be organised across the EU to further develop capacities of Member States and regions to support the effective implementation of ESIF for health.
The website provides background information about the ESI Funds and shows how the Funds are being implemented in the 28 EU Member States. Moreover, it will include a database of examples of projects, funded by ESIF, that invest in actions related to six specific health themes. These include improving access to health services, reforming health systems, eHealth and digital health technologies, research and innovation in health, ageing, health promotion and disease prevention, and planning and training of the health workforce. Examples of health projects developed through a cooperation between Member States (Interreg projects) are also included.
The website is currently still under development but should be fully operational by September 2018. Please come back regularly to check updates and new information added!
