Health Promotion, Zagreb, 15 June 2018

In collaboration with the 'Healthy Living' project

The purpose of this workshop was to foster knowledge and experience exchange regarding the role that European Structural and Investment Funds (ESI Funds) can have in supporting health promotion and disease prevention, active and healthy ageing, and workplace health and safety. The following issues were discussed:

  • Health promotion and disease prevention as one of the key areas of investment in health. The ways health promotion measures are implemented across the Member States (e.g. mainstreaming in other policies, specific health programmes);
  • The role of Country Specific Recommendations made during the European Semester in relation to health promotion, active and healthy ageing and workplace health and safety;
  • The role of the ESI Funds in supporting 1) health promotion and disease prevention; 2) active and healthy ageing; 3) workplace health and safety.

The workshop was carried out in collaboration with the Croatian Institute of Public Health and featured the ‘Healthy Living’ project supported by the European Social Fund.
